Big Changes to 2011 Rides

The most important thing to us is to raise money to drill wells, to give sick and thirsty people clean water to drink.  We’re so fortunate that we get to use something that we love, riding bikes, to do that.

It’s also important to us to incorporate as many people into this mission as possible, and make you a passionate advocate for this cause as well.  This is our first year putting together The Water Cycle Project and we had to make some big guesses when we first put together a calendar for 2011.  We’ve listened to the feedback that we’ve received, and the great thing about being a small, grass-roots organization is that it’s never too late to make changes.

Due to lack of response, we’re going to cancel the Amish Loop (Aug. 5-7) and Hocking Hills (Sept. 2-4) trips for this year, and consolidate our energy towards the Trans-Ohio Trip in July and the Circum-Ohio Tour in September/October.

We’re going to replace the August and September trips with a Labor Day weekend fun ride that I think you’ll really enjoy, and will open a lot of doors for families and non-cyclists to participate and have a lot of fun while supporting our cause.

Just to Clarify:
Trans-Ohio – July 1-3 – STILL ON.  We’ve gotten a lot of great feedback on this trip and expect a good turnout.

Amish Loop – August 5-7 – CANCELLED.

Hocking Hills – September 2-4 – CANCELLED.

Circum-Ohio – September 27-October 8 – STILL ON. Please consider joining us for week 1, week 2 or the full 12-day tour.

Thanks so much for your continued support.  We really appreciate all of your feedback, and are very happy to accommodate as many members of our community as possible.

Please stay tuned for more information on our fun-ride in September, and as always, please contact us with any questions or leave a comment below.
